Get Automatic Clause Suggestions for Your Contracts with Our New Microsoft Word Add-In

  • Now you can find the clauses you need, when you need them, right in Microsoft Word, without even having to search

  • Pull clause suggestions from your previous contracts and negotiate even faster with the confidence that the language you’re using is from your own successfully negotiated deals

Our mission at Recital is to make in-house counsel and other contracts managers faster during the contract negotiation process.

In listening to our customers and in discovery calls with prospects, they are clear about what they want: A better experience within Microsoft Word, the reigning contract negotiation tool.

We are taking that feedback to heart by launching a Word Add-In that allows contract negotiators to easily find and use clauses they have already written.

The best part: we’re cutting out the manual search and making it easier than ever to locate your best clauses, no lengthy implementation required.

How it works

Contract negotiators already have an abundance of written and approved clauses that they reuse repeatedly. The challenge is, they’re not always easy to find. Our Word Add-In finds them automatically, using machine learning to identify when a clause looks similar to one that has been used before (and in a similar context) and recommends existing clauses in a sidebar right in Word itself.

Swap in the existing clause and move on to the next. No searching, no task switching and no time wasted.

Once connected, Recital can search your email and cloud storage for your existing contracts and call up your similar clauses when it identifies something similar within your inflight deals. The clauses it suggests are from your own approved work and are listed in order of relevance. Finding the one you need is as simple as checking the list of suggested clauses in the sidebar and and copy/pasting it right into your document.

Working with the tools you already use, like Word, email and cloud storage

Word is the most popular contract negotiation tool on the planet, and we’re developing solutions that embrace Word, email and cloud storage.

While CLM (contract lifecycle management) tools require months of costly onboarding and change management, Recital can be useful on the very first day. It scans your existing contracts automatically and offers a better contract negotiation experience, with contract comparisons, email digests of messages related to your in-flight deals, and the ability to redline your changes directly in Word.

If you're interested in experimenting with the Word Add-In, it’s free to try and available for download in the Word Add-In marketplace.
